Diving Nassau, Bahamas: More Tropical Fish (and other critters)

Barracuda hunt primarily by sight, and are therefore sometimes attracted to shiny objects, as they might resemble the scales of prey fish.  I’ve sometimes had barracuda follow my camera around, presumably because they were interested in the flashes of light from my strobes. This was not one such fish. It wanted nothing to do with me.

I don’t often see stingrays swimming over the reef. Usually they’re buried in the sand.

The spiny lobster, unlike its Maine counterpart, does not have claws. This does not stop it from thinking it’s tough. This little guy (two pounds, maybe) charged out of its hole at me, waving its antennae fearsomely:
